"Controversies in Critical Care"
The SCCM Texas Chapter held it’s 6th Annual Symposium, Controversies in Critical Care, on November 10th and 11th, 2017 at the Hotel Galvez and Spa in Galveston, TX. The Texas Chapter proudly hosted 21 speakers from all over Texas, and several out of state speakers who presented by online webinar. Programming was attended by nearly 100 clinicians, volunteers, vendor partners and speakers who earned continuing education credit for their participation. Highlights of the conference include a riveting keynote given by SCCM Texas Chapter past-president Michael Sirimaturos, PharmD, BCNSP, BCCCP, FCCM on research controversies in the critical care field. Following suit in how SCCM Annual Congress has research snapshot presentations, the symposium had 13 research snapshot presentations. These researchers were given a platform in front of the entire audience to present their research and field questions from the audience. We want to thank all of our Symposium Committee members, Committee Chairs and volunteers who made it a huge success.
